Welcome to the Dolce Vita Diaries, a lifestyle scrapbook (of sorts), dedicated to the most delicious things in life. Literally and metaphorically.
I’m Skye. Ciao! If you know me already, you’ll know that I like to cook and eat, have lived much of my life in Italy, am happiest when sitting round the kitchen table with people I love, and write cookbooks for a living.
If you too love to cook and host (or even - especially! - if you feel you might like to, but don’t really know how), then you’ve come to the right place: you’ll find many of my favourite and newest recipes in the Dolce Vita Diaries, delivered straight to your inbox. Also: hosting tips, menu ideas, lessons I’ve learned in the kitchen (and beyond), and all those random little nuggets you wouldn’t conventionally find in a recipe or in a cookbook, but which are just useful for joining the dots when it comes to cooking in real life. What do we call those? Not too sure; but I’ll be noting them all down here. Those little tips and tricks are like gold dust.
Beyond the joys of cooking, I’m excited for the Dolce Vita Diaries to be a space where I can share thoughts and recommendations on many of the (other) delicious things I most enjoy in life: places I’ve loved travelling to, books I’ve relished reading, vintage finds that made my day (and where I found them), must-haves, new discoveries, movies, fashion, generally-spoiling-things and pretty much everything else in between that I truly love and think you will too.
Basically: it’s everything dolce vita, food and beyond.
